dR. Edward S. LeybaDNP, PMHNP-BC
Edward is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He graduated from Arizona State University (ASU) with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. He has experience helping clients suffering from anxiety, depression, addiction, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, grief, and sleep disturbances in both the outpatient and inpatient settings. He has completed training specifically on medications for addiction treatment provided by the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry. Edward has been passionately working in healthcare for more than 20 years. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, he gained extensive experience in nursing across diverse settings, including the emergency department, oncology, inpatient addiction treatment, and as a nurse advocate. Before nursing, he worked as a certified pharmacy technician in various settings. |
Edward was a fellow in the ASU Interdisciplinary Training Academy which focused on the opioid epidemic, effective ways to care for people who use drugs, and resources for people and families impacted by addiction. He has volunteered with Sonoran Prevention Works, an Arizona harm reduction organization that improves the lives of individuals with substance use disorders. He has also served on their Provider Advisory Board.
Edward was born and raised here in Arizona. He and his wife have a very spoiled French Bulldog named Albie. He loves to hike, discover new restaurants, listen to podcasts, boogie board when at the beach, and travel all over the country and abroad. He is the proud grandson of a mining foreman that mined for copper in this great state for over 30 years.
